RETROBACK: GRANADA INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL

- From January 24th to 1st of February it's going to take place the first edition of Retroback, a classic film Festival located in Granada. Although it focus mainly on classic films, up-to date films have their own space on the festival; the idea is to compare great classic movies with 21th century films (modern films).

-Its first edition pay tribute to Audrey Hepburn to commemorate her 80º birthday. For the occasion, the Festival will make a retrospective of her most important films, and also, an exhibition where some personal objects of Audrey Hepburn are going to be shown for the first time.

- Inaugural ceremony will start with a performance of the “Ciudad de Granada’s Orchestra”. They are going to play some themes of Henry Mancini’s soundtracks as “Two for the road” or “Breakfast at Tiffany's”, among others. (1*)
- During closing ceremony, which is scheduled on 31st January, Sean Hepburn will enjoy Granada’s tribute payed to one of the immortal actresses of cinema history. (*2)
- Audrey Hepburn’s son have choosed the films that are going to be shown on “Isabel la Catolica” Theater (*3). He get Paramount to make a new edition of “Rome Holidays”, among others.
- "Audrey Timeless Exhibition" with more than 1000 objects owned by Audrey Hepburn.(*4) (*5)

(*4) Timeless Audrey exhibition is confirmed for December 2009. Another exhibition will arrive to Granada in January 2009, In this one, we'll be able to see many dresses she used in her films, her Oscar, and also, more than 250 posters reunited by her son, shown for the very first time.
